Trump: Worst President Ever? Topic

That's a sad commentary on our political system.

And I sincerely think Clinton is compromised. Dirty as the dirtiest dirt.

History is fun, because you can actually learn stuff from it.

Liberals just don't get it. Trump doesn't have that many supporters. Never has. Trump has people who hate the system and hate the other options. The extreme hatred and ridiculous scrutiny of every move of the Libs is creating more and more ant-anti-Trump support. Support that will show-up in November. Will the Libs get it when they lose another 1000 seats? I doubt it.
Lib haters just don't get it. Trump is nothing but a self serving conman. He's done nothing since he took office to convince me otherwise.
By the way, I don't consider myself a liberal.
EVERYONE KNOWS Trump is a self-serving conman. But then, so is Hillary, which is how we got into this mess. Nobody (except maybe Moy) said "OH, THIS WILL BE GREAT, TRUMP WILL BE THE NEXT LINCOLN!" The conservatives said "Thank god Hillary lost. Now let's get rid of all vestiges of the Obama presidency". The liberals said "EVERYONE ELSE IS STUPID". The poor souls in the middle said "We were ****** no matter what. Let's see the Trump way of *******-up. We'd already seen the liberal-way of ******* up for eight years."
not everyone knows Trump is a self-serving conman. I think people with at least a small shred of common sense know it, but there are people out there who actually believe what comes out of Trump's mouth and will continue to believe it no matter what he says.
Pretty sure that even his most ardent supporters know he's a self-serving sleazebag. They're just willing to tolerate him because he tweaks the far left (and the far right, for that matter) with his brand of brazen *******-ism. Actually, he tweaks almost all of the Washington career politicians. Those like him because of the whole Enemy-of-my-enemy, and all that....
Those that like him do so because they are ******* idiots.
And that's the reactionary pseudo-elitist attitude that gets him elected....

Those that "like" him... like him precisely because he irritates liberal know-it-alls like you.
That doesn't preclude them from being ******* idiots. In fact, that they would vote for an unqualified, corrupt, possibly compromised clown because they don't like someone else's "pseudo-elitist" attitude, is part of what makes them ******* idiots.
Dismissing a group of voters because you don't agree with them does make you pseudo-elitist. If they don't agree with your obviously perfect and reasonable views, they must be wrong. That's arrogance.

Not everybody who voted for Trump is a "******* idiot". There's a lot of reasons why he got votes. "******* idiot" voter is just one of many subclasses of Trump voters.
Trump voters are ******* idiots. They actively chose to vote for Trump.

I wouldn't vote for Romney or Kasich or Rubio or GWB or whatever generic Republican. But I understand why people do it. I just disagree.

Trump, on the other had, was an easily visible disaster that anyone with a brain avoided.

I won't play your silly whatif game but I will ask a question so we can at least have an exchange.

Three branches of government back when I went to school. I assume that hasn't changed. Executive, Judicial and Legislative. Who does the FBI answer to?
So you won't answer my question, but you'll ask me one instead?

I'm asking for your opinion. Is it OK for the president to try to pressure the FBI into dropping an investigation into his administration?
So the FBI answers to the Executive branch?

Do you think you can investigate your boss without consequences?

The system is flawed.
You also can't try to end an investigation into your own administration because you don't like where it's going without there being consequences. Please refer to Nixon and the Saturday Night Massacre.

A) BL didn't answer my question so I'm not sure why he thinks I'll answer his.
B) What "consequences" do you think Trump will face for allegedly trying to end an investigation into his administration, tec?
The impeachment process was started against Nixon for Watergate. The House Judiciary Committee passed three articles of impeachment to be sent to the full House for a vote. Article I was for obstruction of justice for his role in the cover up.

Article II is probably more relevant with the Trump/Comey issue, as it was for abuse of power. Specifically, for "impairing the due and proper administration of justice and the conduct of lawful inquiries, or contravening the laws governing agencies of the executive branch and the purposed of these agencies."

I'm not saying that this will end up in an impeachment process for Trump. But it's difficult to ignore the similarities between 1974 and 2017. Unless you're in denial.
Trump has danced around laws and regulations all his life. He's used them to his advantage. Do you even remotely think he did something with Comey that will bite him in the ***?

Remarkable how tone-deaf and self-unaware you are.... Tec (and I) presented some logical reasons NOT TO dismiss other voters, almost giving you a way off your high horse, but you persist in your petulant, immature, and hypocritical stance.

Perhaps you'll only acknowledge similarly phrased rhetoric, so:

YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME!

Trump has danced around laws and regulations all his life. He's used them to his advantage. Do you even remotely think he did something with Comey that will bite him in the ***?

Sure. He's an extreme narcissist who thinks he can do nothing wrong, and that he should be able to do whatever he damn well pleases.

I'm not dismissing generic "other voters" that I don't agree with. I'm calling specific people--Trump voters--******* idiots. Because they are.

I don't disagree with his eval of himself but I also think he's smart enough to cover his ***.

NOTHING will become of Notegate.

If someone takes an action that is ******* idiotic, it's reasonable to call them a ******* idiot.

I think he's smart enough to keep himself out of trouble. If that's strategy and foresight, so be it. Like 'roid users, he's one step ahead of the testers.
