How about the guy standing in wal-mart minding his own business?
Notice how BL left out the guy was waking around Walmart waving a BB gun (that looked like a real gun) around when the police were called. It's the reason a LAW was made that play guns need to be distinguishable from real guns. Good law.

Those officers were exonerated iirc because they didn't commit any crimes.

I look at it this way:

The same cop pulls over two identical white hondas. The driver of car A is black and the driver of car B is white. Both drivers behave exactly the same way. If the cop is more afraid of the black driver and therefore more likely to shoot the black driver, that's a problem, even if the shooting is justified.

It's the unsolvable problem. The racism isn't explicit. The cop isn't a KKK member, that would be easy to deal with. It's subliminaly entrenched.
You forgot to mention that nearly twice as many whites are killed by cops in any given year than blacks killed by cops.
Another moronic statement. What is the population of whites in this country versus the population of blacks? If you work in the math of incidence versus population, what are the percentages?
It's not the ratio of the general population that matters. It's the ratio of people who commit violent crimes.
Are all people killed by police violent criminals?
My argument is that not all people shot by police are violent criminals.
But 99.9% of them are? Good argument BL.

THAT ONE? Jeez, BL, I thought you'd found one that was legit. How stupid do you have to be to wave around a gun, of any kind, when the police are pointing guns at you?

If we are playing a game of ONE offs... Dylan Noble was an unarmed white guy killed by police. No prior record. To Mike's point, he was young (19 y/o) and contrary to BLs point the cops were not edgy because he was black.

A) Ohio is an open carry state, even if it was a real gun, he wasn't doing anything illegal.

B) It's on video. He was holding the toy the he picked up in that Walmart while he talked on the phone.

C) the cops shot him without warning. He didn't know they were there.

A) So what? If you're waving a legal gun around, you're a threat. Are the cops supposed to wait until someone is shot?

B) So what? Did the cops watch the video before approaching a man waving a gun around?

C) Only legit point you have. Cops should have yelled "Police. Drop the gun" before opening fire. I'm assuming they did not but you might be lying.

He was holding it. Not waving it around.

The so what is that we know exactly what happened.

The video has audio.

I've never argued that cops only shoot black people. My argument is that not everyone shot by a cop is a violent criminal. I was responding to Todds question about the percentages of violent criminals in each race.

All this talk about police killing blacks, but no talk about blacks killing blacks. I never understand that. Why are the few black deaths at the hands of police such a huge issue and a hot political topic, but blacks killing themselves at a much, much, much higher rate is seemingly never worried about?

Black Lives Matter - except when taken by another black who's a non-cop? Seriously, why the massive double-standard of concern?

If someone is killed by a non-cop and that non-cop is found, they're arrested, charged, and go to trial. There's justice for the victim.

If someone is killed by a cop, the victim doesn't always get the same justice.

So what? A gun in a hand is a gun in a hand. If I'm pointing a gun at someone is that less dangerous than waving it around?

So what? Did the cops see the video of him picking up a BB gun before approaching him? I assume "no" since you didn't say "yes".

So what? You still didn't say "The cops snuck up on him and shot him." Which makes me believe they did not.
