Was wondering when you'd play the race card.
I was the only white guy, maybe one of two some seasons, on a baseball team for years in my teens/early 20s. I knew those guys. Didn't bother me because none of them were trashing cop cars, burning businesses and screaming "Burn this mother down!!!" before/after games. Or between games. Or, as far as I know, at all.
So maybe your assumption is wrong.
This is a discussion about racism. There is no "race card." You asked if rioting made me uncomfortable around blacks. I said no. You said it did for you.
My assumption is that none of the blacks I might walk by on the street and none of the blacks you might walk by on the street were involved in violence. I guess your assumption is that they were???
Well, since I don't live anywhere where there are riots, I would assume not. But I'd rather not find out if they're seeking "justice" for their "brothers in STL" or wherever. I'm more alert of my surroundings. Much like if I was wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat, I'd be more cautious around skinny white dudes wearing black and masks.
I wish I was more like you and knew no one would possibly threaten my, or my family's, safety. Must be a great life.
