Pat Venditte A's Switch Pitcher Rd 19 A kind of Sentimental pick here I Played w/Pat's dad in Over 30 league Mens Senior Baseball League in Omaha Ne for many years, and with his dad and my son in the MSBL Father Son World Series in Phoenix AZ a couple times 10+ years ago. Pat 's dad Pat Sr and my son were the catchers on the team and Pat jr (age 16 /17 then) and myself were the pitchers on a great fun team back then. A film crew filmed our game at Angel's stadium and they never mentioned on that Pat was switch pitching during the game thru the 2 innings he pitched. SO glad he has had a chance to play in the bigs. for Toronto and now the A's. Here is a chance to use him in a small role for me in this very fun to draft league.
Note It was wild to see Pat SR warm up his son in between innings of our games that I was pitching to him. Had him throw 10+ pitches left handed then 10+ right handed until we had to go back out to continue our game, every inning! He was using that 6 fingered glove back then when he was 10 yrs old that his dad had a firm in Japan specially make for him. Pretty cool
