The National Archives is hopping mad.......downright irate...They are shooting off letters to the Justice Department and the select committee and they are enthusiastically cooperating with all authorities in a very proactive way.
It is confirmed by them that Trump stole classified national security documents, and they are indignant about ripped up and destroyed documents and missing documents never entered into the system and social media official "documents" scrubbed and not entered into the system and scrubbed documents from smartphone email exchange which had classified material.

There will be many people charged with crimes and you can bet your bottom dollar that some are going to turn on Trump. Some of them were "unwillingly coerced".

A very pained judge gave her 16 months in jail.
There was no intended malice, and it was an error.
I do not agree that the conduct involved recklessness. It was a negligent act. As horrible as the killing was I don't believe that
actual non malicious purely negligent and not reckless or aggravated acts bring jail to police officers.
The judge cried because she was forced to give a jail sentence under current circumstance mostly caused by real malicious and extremely reckless police conduct that often involves racism.

So she handed down 16 months with 2 months already served.

Very bad precedent in my opinion.

Your Money is No Good Here

Two entities have recently refused charitable donations from Melania Trump.
The fact speaks for itself.
One is a school in a state that is no bastion of liberal politics - Oklahoma.

The war in Ukraine if it happens could be the largest campaign in Europe since World War 2.
The economic sanctions and other punishment against Russia will be enormous.

But if those measures don't change Russia's behavior or create severe pain that deters them
there will be big trouble in little china.

The Ukraine war will allow Russia to test its weaponry and troops in battle, but it will also test international fortitude and whether Russia can be deterred from continued attempted takeover of sovereign state neighbors.

Putin has agreed in principle to a summit with Biden.
He has not secured his objective with his power play negotiation, and it is backfiring, and he knows that.
If he capitulates, he will lose face and strength, and become vulnerable in Russia.
If he invades and causes mass casualties his economy will sink like a stone into North Korea territory, and he will strengthen Nato and solidify their purpose and position.
He must find an exit ramp before it is too late and that might be through partial or whole implementation of the Minsk agreements.

Fallout if New Cold War

Will the Trump family charge admission?
Will oath keepers and Nazis be pall bearers?
Will Marjorie Greene or the Pillow Guy deliver the eulogy.
Will there be a Trump library funded by The National Enquirer?
Will he have a penitentiary he is incarcerated in named after him?

King of Russia

Today Putin announced that the 2 sections of Ukraine controlled by Russian separatists was part of Russia and annexed in that decree.
I wonder if that could actually set up a truce and treaty or agreement between Ukraine and Russia which NATO could then support at the request of Ukraine.
Russia in practicality has those sections. If Ukraine gives up claim to them and Russia and Ukraine then implement the Minsk accord and Russia agrees to no further aggression against Ukraine maybe that can be the way out.

Time will tell as the world turns.


ADDENDUM

Already 60,000 refugees from Ukraine have fled to Russia.
Talk about being between a rock and a hard place.
Maybe some sleeper terrorists will be among them.

Putin will not settle for that, still scared of NATO being on his borders.
