I am going to try that. Most people share your views but I have always enjoyed these speeches. Even when BHO gave them. Not sure why but I like them.

I haven't watched one since 2013 or 2012. Gerald Ford is the only president in our lifetime who's been honest about them.

My first memories are Watergate, Patty Hearst kidnapping, the Zodiac Killer, the Swinging A's and Raiders of 72,73,74, and my first Disney Trip in 74. Kinda weird. My grandparents watched watergate special reports all the time.

First person i really remembering dying and understanding it was Elvis. Then the Guyana/Jim Jones tragedy. Harvey Milk assassination....

My first celebrity death memory is Lennon.

Not sure what we're discussing here, but my first memory of a tragedy was the WTC. I was sitting in 9th grade biology. We had a substitute teacher. She wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box. She left the room and then came running back in saying that the WH had blown up.

My mom volunteered for Bobby Kennedy, I remember her bawling her eyes out that night in 68'
