For a 20-team league in 1977, we need two more teams taken. Dropping to 16 teams in 1962 would leave us still needing at least that many, with several remaining owners less enthusiastic. So a 20 team league in 1977 is still the way to go. Open teams are Kansas City, Atlanta, San Diego, San Francisco, Houston, California, Cleveland, Milwaukee, and Texas.

Welcome aboard with the Angels, topkat!  I'd started to think Nolan Ryan would be available in the draft pool, if no one took the Angels! I'll have to confirm that all the other owners are still in, I'm afraid we might have lost one (hopefully he'll still join, and none go missing).

No ideas for rule changes have gained momentum in the rules discussion.  Unless that significantly changes, we'll go with the rules as-is.  After confirming the other owners are still aboard, I'll claim my second team (likely Atlanta or Houston) and we can start the draft off the clock.

Since it's full I'll stay in with the Reds.

Bad news, Yatagon has dropped out, opening up the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies.  Cardsfan offered to take a second team himself, which would leave us needing one more new owner, or one more existing owner willing to take a second team.  ljemd (NY Mets) is the only original owner I haven't heard back from.
