you should aim for 17002 minutes, but really good ones

Nothing wrong with that if those are the best players. I get a little nervous going in under 19300. I would feel stupid going in over like 19700/19800. But if you have 19660 and you think those are the best players for your team, I wouldn't go crazy trying to re-engineer it.

I'm currently between 19200 and 19300 and already feel like I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of backups. Yeesh.

Those are the only high usage picks I ended up making because I’d rather get my usage from early picks vs late picks.

Now, I’m not saying Jrue is coming off my bench...because I do want him in there during crunch time, but he *is* getting a lot of his minutes as my backup SG behind Kawhi. He’ll probably end up playing 2/3rds of his minutes at PG and 1/3rd at backup SG. I think I have enough boards to cover it.

I’m going with a sub-22.1 USG season from Artis.

PG has a medium USG starter with a low usage backup (Jrue/Tinsley)

SG has a high USG starter with a medium usage backup (Kawhi/Jrue)

SF has a high USG starter, looking for a high USG backup (Giannis/?)

PF has good low usage guys (Birdman/Oakley)

C has a medium usage starter and will have a medium usage backup (Artis/?)

We’ll see what happens but I like my team a lot so far.

That is still 19 points of usage (4+6+6+1+2) in your starting lineup. You could certainly pull it off and have a great team. I just don't think it is optimal allocation of capital, that's all. Good luck.

I’m still tinkering to try to make it work but I think Jrue doubling as my crunch-time PG and Kawhi’s backup will help since he’s able to pull double duty with his 3k minutes

I’m going to be able to have (still tinkering with possibilities, but as of now): 37.5 ORB%, 95.8 DRB%, about 54-55 starting-5 eFG%, defensive ratings of 90/90/83/100/80 and decent passing and threes.

I’m still learning and I don’t think I can win a title, but I like what I’m putting together in just my second ODL.

That’s basically what I was trying to say. I’d argue you probably could have made your team a little better but you can still make a good team.

I guess you have to look at what else you could of had and what other areas you fell short (defense, rebounds etc)

Right. I also like funneling my shots to the best guys. But I mean cjok won a title doing the same thing a couple seasons back so there is a precedent for it.
