I’ve really put myself in a pickle. Drafted 3 role players with limited options for scoring so far hmmm..... we will se if this works out. Probably won’t lol

For better and worse, Crash Wallace has become my go-to SF in this league the way Billups used to be my go-to PG. He does well, but not as well as I think he does.

Still second-guessing the Harper pick, since I left a better, still-undrafted player on the board. But I needed the security of Harper's assists, and he is a stable, low-error running mate for Wade.

Mailman, Mookie, and Nance so far. Good defense , and have done a pretty good job avoiding any major negatives, but still need plenty of rebounding and some perimeter scoring. I have a plan. Is it a good plan? I don't know, but we're going to find out.

Some random, unqualified thoughts:
  • KAT and Harden is a heckuva lot of usage without a lot of defense. On the other hand, offense-oriented teams sometimes do well in this league. Sometimes.
  • I love Curry, Mutombo, and Deron in this sim.But how to keep defenses from skewing to the perimeter?
  • Shaq, Ginobili and Klay is a lotta, lotta usage.
  • Mailman, Mookie and Nance = nothing to dislike there.Nice start on nearly everything, although the team may be behind on boards since both forwards are a little light on rebounding for my taste at this cap level.
  • Robinson, Camby and Porter make for a classic trio in this league.I can’t help but hope they bring home the gold.
  • Paul, Brand and Kemp:see immediately above.
  • Stockton, Penny, and Ewing:all studs in this sim, but who’s cleaning the glass?
  • Moses, Draymond, and Boerwinkle:Intriguing.Usage is sorely needed, and may come without defense in later rounds, but the choices and SF and C allow for huuuge flexibility in drafting the backcourt.I’ll be eager to see how this squad finishes out.
  • Durant, Nash, and Chandler:Maybe a bit early for Nash, given his TOs and lack of D, but maybe not.The usage is taken care of, and with pretty nice efficiency. For reasons I can’t explain, I have a good feeling about this bunch.
  • DeAndre, Garnett, Stoudemire:I know some disagree, but I continue to think that SF is the way to employ KG in this league. And he’s the right SF to pair with Stoudemire, unless Dennis Rodman is on your roster.
  • Kidd, Magic, Donyell:All three are fabulous in this league.Just need some rebounders.Who can score. What are the chances that the front line will be manned by matadors?

Well, you don't need me to tell you nothing. Jones is a little light on the board at SF, but then you've got Pippen balancing that out at SG. A lot - well, everything - rides on your selection of PG, since if I'm reading the situation correctly you've got a lot of usage to pick up there. Jokic is a horrible defender, but I believe a championship team can afford one horrible defender so long as everyone else is well above average. But who's going to put the ball in the hole?

I plan on making Jokic 100% at all positions for D so dont be surprised to see him covering Jason Kidd or such like in some instances - the nice thing about the Joker is his 20% ast% so (along w Jones and Pip already having like 55% ast% combined) not really looking for much more than a few points of usage at good EFG with some perimeter shooting from my point - I feel like I drafted into fairly easy needs positionally and have like 9.5 pts usage now so even just 2 points should get me over the floor but ideally hoping for 4

and now I add gratuitous criticism of your current team for the sake of adherence to a higher standard because I think I know what it is, and your experience, while valuable, could have taught you the wrong lessons. I also know how you'll respond, and my justification for this prediction exists because of the last sentence. then we repeat the cycle in two and a half months
