My condolences to Catholics. The death of a Pope is a momentous thing. There are almost 1.5 billion Catholics.
The pope was a good man. He seemed to have wanted to do more. He did do a lot of good. He pushed the envelope as far as he could with certain issues. And set the stage for further progress.
He cared about democracy and fought totalitarianism his whole life.
He despised the personifications of hatred to his dying day and made it very clear.

There have been 5 American possible extinction periods in the last 100 years.

1. Smoot Hawley - to - 1929 Great Depression ( FDR saved the country )
2. World War 2 ( FDR saved the world )
3. Cuban Missile Crisis ( JFK made Russia blink )
4. 2008 Economy meltdown ( Obama saved USA and world economy )
5. Trump second term in totality including the murder of American exceptionalism and the murder of the role of USA as the world moral authority and etc etc etc
