The team Macalester(the other dynasty team in my conference) played last night was a 595 overall rated team...and they were a 12 or 13 seed...

The only dynasty teams in the South Bracket are me(1), Chicago(4), and Eastern Oregon(6). If we both win the next game, I'll be matched with Chicago in the sweet 16, and then the winner of that might get Eastern Oregon.



yeah, that was amazing. we went 3-15, to boot, and the teams combined to go 30-49 from the FT line, too. on the plus side, i am not sure i can play much worse tonight (and if i do, will get blown out of the water by MBBC).

What was Macalster's seed? I Imagine it was pretty good, as I know their rpi was high all season. I think I've twice landed a 2 seed in the NT and then been matched up w/ something similar to what Macalster saw last night. A team that I knew I needed a good night w/ the RNG to knock off. That always sucks when you get a crappy draw like that.

I'm hoping for that matchup. Not only would it mean that we advanced another round into the sweet 16, but its been a while since we've played each other. St Olaf's used to be a staple of my OOC if I recall correctly. It would have the making of a good game, but I guess there's a little business for both of us to take care of prior to that. G/l Breum, hope to be game planning vs ya this time tomorrow.

good luck eanerlihp, you've got a tough squad as well. Should be a good one, just hopin' the maroons come out on top. Somebody's streak of sweet 16s is about to go up in flames.

well eanerlihp spit us up and chewed us out. Shot like 55% to our 38%, perhaps I shouldn't have gone w/ uptempo? Anyways one sweet 16 run ends, another continues, good luck eanerlihp.

Nice game taz, I'm suprised we shot that well. So far, our deficit in ATH and SPD hasn't caught up with us.

My evidence is a little anecdotal, but I generally haven't seen good results with uptempo against a zone.

I may have to look at that. I went upspeed b/c of my advantage in ath & spd. It burned me in the CT when I had a miserable performance with it. Perhaps I should have just run normal.

I used to always run slowdown vs a zone, figuring that if I gave it enough time, we'd find an opening in the zone. Perhaps its time to shift back to taht strategy.

so here we are in the Sweet 16 of Wooden and in DIII, your #1 Maranatha Baptist Bible(28-3, 5) will be playing #4 Montclair St(30-1, 14). This matchup is a 2(MBBC) vs a 3(MSU). Anyone care to explain how that happens?

For comparison, the 1 seed in the bracket is #5 Suny Maritime(28-3, 2) who will be playing #11 North Carolina Wesleyan(26-4, 17), the 5 seed.



I posted this in another thread in the main forum, but I figured I'd post it here too.
