You can still get the scoring title, but you have to use the absolute lowest usage guys in the sim to get it... and you'll have no shot at the championship while doing it.

I don't think the trip-dub can be done in the current environment... at least not with a winning squad.

I wasn't sure if the points title could be done; I was here when (maybe in the same league?) abrondon was doing the threes and/or steals record stuff - before they changed the threes engine (the low threes / 100% / 7 minutes o' heck ) thing. 

By winning, do you mean competitive or as in a realistic shot at the title? My early musings, for at least the starting line up, have Wilt at around 47% of the assists on the floor and 70-something defense guys (but that was with a 90%@pg guy, so he may be lower....or a 100 def guy whos better at pg but with around 3-4% higher assists). I won a title in a theme league with like, 19? something assists per game, so I figure if Wilt can get half of the dimes on the floor or so, he might have a shot at the 10 apg while at least not completely pooping the bed.

Do you think any of it could be done in an open league or are the variable just too much? What theme was the league you were trying?

Every attempt in this thread was in an OL.

I think ud have a shot of a wilt trip dub (and it still be a title contender) if all the teams in ur division ran up tempo and the team was built properly.

I think Dumars & Mailman will steal a lot of Wilt's assists... but everything is so different now that I feel like it's the best starting point.

I'm not sure if I should call it Wilt's Trip Dub VI  or Wilt's Trip Dub 2.1

not sure what you're asking.  That was the real stats of everyone... listed the team before I ran it.

I don't get what you don't get... that's 12 players.  Real players with their real stats.  I listed the team before the league started.  Thus the team had no rookies at that point.  I got rookies when the league started.

What am I missing?

I never did. I basically quit trying.

Might give it another go at some point, but it's just so hard to do when there are 23 other owners, and at least 4 or 5 of them are going to not know what they're doing and run half-court by default, and a few will be trying to do the slow-down thing. I think I could do it if everyone ran up-tempo against me.

I'm thinking about taking some of these teams and running them through the 10 game trials, seeing if I can use the unpredictablity of it to get the desired result

Never mind, the only one I could view (the Malone- Wilt frontcourt) relies too much on rookie minutes to be run in the 10-game. Still, I'm going to play around with this concept.

I was able to get it in a 10-game stretch. I came up 30 assists shy of doing it for a full season, and that team did it in the playoffs.
