It is being floated that there is a good chance that the 2 infrastructure bills will be voted on this week. Maybe Wednesday.
One of the main aspects of the human infrastructure bill is the continuation of the child tax credit 3000 per child per year 6-17 and 3600 per year for children up to 6 years. This is huge for families with 2 or more kids and is one of the biggest anti poverty programs ever. It is called a tax credit but it is a monthly check so it is cash.
The original proposal was a 10 year extension but it had to be scaled down to one more year.

This could be a big issue in the 2022 elections.
Who will campaign to let this program expire?

A friend of mine recently said to me that she has friends that will watch Fox News just to know what right wing followers think.
I said that I don’t care what right leaning people think or believe. Not anymore.
I only care about the reality of what is actually happening in the news and in Congress and in the courts.
After all, if one only pays attention to the facts and rational explanations and sound intellect who needs to hear the noise.

Thats why I rarely respond to noise.
