Trickle down economies have never worked even a little bit and never will because of human nature and I think that Trump knows that.
Unless the people getting the huge tax cuts are various clergy and nuns and philanthropists forget about it.

I think that is one of the reasons Trump
wants to do crippling tariffs. It has not been used like Trump wants to in order to create the revenue necessary to make up for the revenue from taxes stolen from the lower economic strata and blowing up the deficit.

Any of the tax credits and other programs he says he would like to do for the needy are dependent on there being enough revenue from the tariffs or no go.
He is putting all of the eggs in one basket.

If he cannot do it he will fall back to his favorite default - blame it on Obama and Biden.

Look for maybe millions losing the quality ACA as money is diverted away. Even if ACA remains it will be less then it was and it will negatively impact people and families. Of course.

It is stupid to say that the United States lost the war in Vietnam. Does anyone ever say that China won the war in Vietnam.

The United States was helping South Vietnam win their war against North Vietnam. They did not win.

The United State could have leveled the cities in the North but the cities of the south would have also been destroyed.
As it was, 2 million civilians on both sides died.
Military losses -
North - 1.1 million
South - 200,00
American - 58,000

Approximately 17% of the North was killed. That is staggering and much higher then the South.
20% of the country was killed.
The South fought a defensive war. They were the people with the high human values. The North had the brutal ugly army on the march to destroy.

Had the South been the aggressors it might have been the opposite. The South’s army after decades of attempting self preservation collapsed.

The United States did not want to cause the country to end up like what had happened to Gaza because the North was destroyed.

China would have helped do the same to the South.
The aggressor in such wars are heartless ideologues usually and in such wars they automatically have the advantage and the will to continue.
They have less concern for human life.

Same for Afghanistan.

Now we are engaged in a domestic Vietnam but the country will lose. There will be no Victor. The Trump people will lose as well but they don’t understand that now.
The ones who are the loudest are often trying to suppress thinking by drowning it out.

Trump’s economy is based on anger and revenge and war like principles. It depends on enough revenue from tariffs to prevent high inflation crippling deficits and cancellation of tax credits and vital programs for the people who are not wealthy. The tariff economy will fail.

If one takes a step back and look
at what is going on with the Russian attempted blitzkrieg.

First of all Russia was supposed to have a scary formidable army. They don’t and nobody knew it.
They have captured some land but although less so has Ukraine and that has to be humiliating to Putin.

Russia has more soldiers killed and wounded by a significant number. More humiliation.
In the Vietnam war the USA had 58,000 deaths over 10 years or so and killed 1.1 million Viet Cong. Russia has more then 200,000 killed and more wounded.

Early on Russia threatened nuclear bombs because they were losing.

They run out of missiles and ammo and needed more from Iran and N Korea. It has to be extremely humbling that they need 10,000 troops from N Korea and word is that it might expand to 100,000.

I wonder what NK will think when they suffer major casulties. They are a country of 23 million and 100,000 troops is crazy.

Now Ukraine is firing into Russia successfully and they still have deadly drones.

Russia is again talking about nukes.
Biden has made it more difficult for Trump to blackmail
or coerce Ukraine into a surrender of their land.

Biden has been nothing short of heroic in standing with Ukraine against the dictator. As with so many things, American owe Joe a tremendous debt of gratitude.

Putin/ Trump wanted it to be Russia that would negotiate from strength not Ukraine.

The nuke threats ( tactical not the end of the world bombs ) are empty. If Russia did it nobody worth trading with would have anything to do with Russia and China would not help. If they think it will win the war they could do it under Trump because Trump won’t respond against Russia. He will blame Biden and NATO and Ukraine for refusing to reward Russia.

It is a mess. But if Russia takes Ukraine off the board next will be some little fish until the army recovers enough to look at Ukraine type countries.

I bet they can’t invade just one.

If Trump finds a way to weaken Medicare and Medicaid and block Medicare negotiations with drug companies and or damages and weakens ACA
people will die as a direct result.

It will be a lot more then 13 people. If that happens there should be a tally because it will be a lot of people. Add it to the women killed by the abortion imbroglio causing devastation in most states. Thank you Donald Trump.
