I mean, it almost seems like you don't.

Dahs says going to Iraq was a bad decision that caused ISIS. You then say "Terrorists kill 3,000 people on a beautiful Tuesday morning. We should shrug it off a a bummer?" as if payback for terrorism was the reason we went into Iraq.
Did you read my comments about the war with Iraq?
Which is why your comment on 9/11 is confusing. If the Iraq war wasn't payback for 9/11, why did you bring it up?

Dahs said that US military response in the Middle East after 9/11 was a massive mistake because it led to ISIS.

There were two military responses in the Middle East after 9/11.  Afghanistan and Iraq.  I assume dahs was referring to both.  I said that Afghanistan was a justifiable response because there was a strong and direct connection between the government of Afghanistan (the Taliban) and Al Qaeda.  I said that Iraq was NOT a justifiable response.  That was Bush/Cheney's war because they wanted another war against Iraq.  Because they did.  And the intelligence community distorted the intelligence that they had to give Bush/Cheney what they wanted.

What part of that do you not understand?

Since ISIS is in Iraq (and Syria), I'm assuming dahs wasn't referring to Afghanistan when he said the decision to invade caused ISIS.

Are we pretending that ISIS never gains any footing if the US doesn't go into Iraq?   Because that seems VERY speculative.

Because, if we want to play that game, I'm gonna say the death of bin Laden in 2011 lead to their power surge.    Did anyone see them as what they are now prior to that?   **** no.

Thanks, Obama.

CARTER:  Gives us IRAN.

CLINTON:  Gives Nukes to KOREA and tech for money to CHINA and 911 to U.S.

OBAMA:  Gives Nukes to IRAN.

HILLARY:  I'm going to jail for selling government secrets for money.  You're all dead.

Well, if we hadn't decided a military response was the correct action following 9/11, and had done nothing instead, ISIS wouldn't exist.  Al Q'aida is bigger now than it was then, but that might have happened anyway.  So I guess we can just blame ISIS on our military activities in the Middle East.

So yeah, doing nothing would have been better.  Unambiguously so.

Dahs says we should have done NOTHING militarily after 9/11.

That would include Afghanistan and the Taliban.
