Pretty happy so far. Monster D with Ibaka and Sanders swatting shots. Good rebounding and good efficiency aside from B Diddy. A tad light on passing and 3s.
Excited to see what all the final rosters look like and to find out if I was smart or dumb to pick so many mid-tier guys in round 1 or if I should’ve tried for more elite guys early on. It will all depend on how many mid-tier guys could’ve been landed in round 3/4.

The thing about this game is that the results don't mean much. The same ballot might have better (or worse) results in the next game.

One thing I've noticed is voters stayed away from turnovers in both rounds (see: Nash, Harden, Magic). That's a good move, but I'm pretty sure most of us completely forgot about Magic.

I went for great rebounding and shooting in Round 1. I figured that if I could get one board lord, I'd be set. The problem is that everyone wants the same board lords. Even Clint Capela couldn't make it past Round 1.

Rebounding has to be the biggest challenge in this game. I have to commend you for knowing who to target. You could use a little more efficiency, but you're set on D and rebounding, unlike most of us.

Also, half of us thought we were going to be slick and get Larry Nance. That did not work out!

Thank you! Appreciate the breakdown. Yeah efficiency isn’t my strong point but I think I might be able to make it work, especially after second chances since I’ll be putting close to 40 ORB% on the floor. Here’s to hoping it works.

I won the initial season of this back when jushkow was running it. I think I played every year it's been in existence. I managed to get Dr J and Towns in the 1st rd and Doc won MVP. Other than that I can't remember anyone else for sure. It would be interesting to see the history of the league and was on that team. I tried the star theory again this year but came up empty in round 1. (I knew I should have put Magic down for rd 1 but it's hard to narrow it to 12) I had like 4 guys that only 2 people picked. Anyways, super-super happy with the 6 I got in round 2. I have all the guard positions filled with good passers who play D. Low on efg but that will probably be the norm, for the most part. Not like anyone has 60% efg Lebron, Curry or Stockton at guard. Plus I got 2 front court players in rd 2. I've found it makes it easier later on when you're only trying to fill 2 or 3 positions. I echo everyone's sentiments on being excited for this league as well thankful for rubnsly! I have only done I think 2-3 basketball leagues at most, and they were open. This ought to be interesting.

One other thing. I might have missed discussion on this, but is anyone else surprised Russ made it through? Or are his turnover just too big of a turnoff for most?

I don't know if Russ is a good SIM player. I haven't seen a great Russ team yet. Theoretically, it would be pretty difficult to overcome his low eFG% and turnovers, even if you have a massive rebound advantage.

One of the teams in the current DH52 is in the playoffs with a Russ team. My logic is that if a player is good enough for a draft league team, they’re definitely good enough for this league.

(That said, I’m glad I don’t have to play with him and deal with his TOs, so I could see it going either way)
