You'd have to convince me that marriage is a right. I don't think it is. You're required to get a license. Much like you're required to get a gun license, register to vote or get a driver's license. If there are guidelines for your inclusion in an activity, seems like it's a privilege.
Voting is a right, not a privilege. Gun ownership too, for the most part.
If I have to register, and can be denied, it doesn't seem like a right.
You can't say "for the most part" and pretend it's the same thing.
As I said, if there are guidelines for your inclusion, it doesn't seem like a right.
