I had 4 teams over .500, and the fifth wasn’t far off (78-84).

Only managed to send one team to the playoffs, however.

If my math is right, I think pmars2001 and I are the only ones who can catch schwarze at this point.

schwarze has 452 with a max possible score of 461 (if his one remaining squad wins the WS)

i have 445 with a max possible score of 454 (if my one remaining squad wins the WS)

pmars2001 has 438 with a max score of 464 (if both his remaining squads rally to win the WS)

I don’t think anyone else can rack up enough points to pass schwarze at this stage.

Since only 4 teams made the playoffs in each world, there was no wildcard round. Do those playoff teams automatically get the 2 point bonus for "winning the wildcard"? I really hope we go back to 24 teams for Savage 3. I like the suggestion about all teams over .500 bonus instead of all 5 teams make the playoffs bonus.

If schwarze wins two World Series games, he is guaranteed at least a tie for First Place overall. If his team wins three or more World Series games, he will lock up sole possession of First Place.

He ended up with 455 points. I ended with 454.

My 108-win team lost game 7 of the World Series. Glad it didn't end up making a difference.

I agree. Had I thought this through, I would've front loaded my top 2-3 teams since it's nearly impossible for all 5 teams to make the playoffs in a 16-team league,
