I have no problem telling anyone about it and raising awareness. I have an IRD (Inherited Retinal Disease) that's called Choroideremia. It presents similarly to Retinitis Pigmentosa, which is what Cavs owner Gordon Gund has or had (not sure if he is dead or not) Basically, my perepheral field of vision is slowly getting eaten away as I age, and I am left with a sliver of central vision that is left (just enough to use a computer or phone and watch TV (although it is getting blurrier and I have trouble following who has the ball now). It affects sufferers differently. I am actually one of the luckier ones, to still have SOME vision left at 58.

If you have seen "Back to the Future", Mike Fox has that Polaroid of his family....and the longer he stays back in time, his family's arms, legs and cfaces are slowly disappearing....well, that's my life now! I can no longer see faces, even when someone is standig right in front of me, unless there is perfect lighting. It saddens me, and I try to not let it affect me, but when something happens like not seeing cmac's picks today, it just sends me into a sadness and depression, because it is affecting my day to day life. I wish everyone could understand.
