Bradshaw: I think your season turned around during the second half of the Beloit game. I was up by something like 25 at the half, then you came storming back to win.

Bradshaw, just like on my team, your freshmen improved dramatically during the season in both numbers and IQ. You have depth now that you couldn't count on earlier. And all that extra stamina is paying off with the O/D that you run. Pagano looks to be a lot more consistant than earlier in the season and Salvaggio is a great 6th man just like my SF Lee, he comes in and takes over the game.

I thought we were going to get a break from you this season but we should have known better.

Now I draw another guy who makes my 10 seasons at mcmurry look like ****. dang......g.g. l_e

GG to you as well elvis--I was hoping my kids would remain unbeaten on the season versus FCP but it wasn't to be, you got me to turn the ball over.

Aaack! Now I see what my issue was...only odd-numbered seeds get into the final 4. If I'd have only known.... As mrpolo09 noted it seems to have been a wide open tournament, and should be a good finish. G/L to the final 4.

3 great games last night, too. congrats to all of you who are still alive. someday i hope to have hobart in some of these conversations, but it feels a long way off.

Is it just me or is this one of the most exciting tournaments in years? I'm loving the unpredictability of it - and the close E8 games (3/4 anyway) is nice.

I've seen postings in the main that DIII is dead. And then someone, probably Brian, saying Wooden is still great. Well, he's right. There are just so many good coaches here that resisted the move to DII. The only other world I'm in is Crum and 8 of us just jumped as a group to a DII conference. Crum DIII is a wasteland now.

I don't think anyone can really be too upset about losing in the NT here because whether your a 1 seed or an 8 seed, Like mrpolo said, you're facing a wide open field.

My heart does go out to mamidu though. He didn't deserve that loss in the 1st round. Great tournament everyone! Now, who's butt are we supposed to kick in the gangbang next year?

Yes that was me. I think wooden d3 and d2 for that matter may be the toughest 2 worlds in HD. But rupp d2 may be close. Yes if I woulda lost in the 2nd round i wouldnt have been suprised the coaches collectivly are top notch. L_E now barjaz no easy outs in this world. nice season o.g. proud of you buddy

Too bad Brandeis didn't beat McMurry. For obvious reasons, as i am in the upstate, but also, it would have been cool to have a #5, #7, #9, and a #10 seed in the FF.
10/3/2009 5:17 PM
I obviously thought/hoped it would be closer, but at this stage all teams are tough outs and there is no shame in my mind bowing out to McMurray. It will be interesting to see who takes it all.

I'm hoping Finlandia brings it home to the MIAA. Goose's club limped into the NT by losing 3 of 6, including a huge upset loss to Olivet in the conference quarters. I sure would like to know what he told his guys to motivate them!
10/3/2009 7:13 PM
it's not what i told them as much as what i bought them, norm. wait--did i say that out loud?

I'm calling for an investigation. Any trophy you win may have to be surrendered and your place vacated. The Great Wooden DIII scandal of season 39!
