I need another 6' 9" player - Sam Perkins

Manute was a very nice dude. It was a really weird story...I was working a hockey game (I used to be the studio host for Rochester Americans hockey (Amerks--thus my name), and it was sometime during the 1st period, so around 8 pm. All the daytime people were gone from the radio station, and all of a sudden Manute Bol and his guide/publicist come walking down the hall and pass the big window looking out of my studio. I'm thinking I am seeing things...I'm like "What? Did I just see what I thought I saw? Jeezus Christ, was that MANUTE BOL???"

Eventually, I talk with them and somehow they must have gotten their times mixed up, as he was there to do some kind of radio interview. We apologized on behalf of everyone at the stations and took a couple of pics. He was very calm and nice about the whole thing. It was very bizarre.
