Sorry it wasn't 1949!

My team isn't going to be that good, but will be fun to watch. 1940 resulted in everyone being from the 60's or 70's, my favorite time periods of MLB.

Luis Tiant will head up the starting staff, while the low inning Cisco Carlos will close. Joe Torre will catch and manage. Ron Santo will play 3B, while Willie Davis will man CF, and Willie Stargell will DH and back up 1B. Tommy Harper combines power, speed, and good range in the OF. The bench should be entertaining with 1B Joe Pepitone's tales of conquest.
