It's a 2-person race. Currently, 06gsp has a 14.5 point lead and has 2 teams in the World Series. justinlee_24 has 3 teams in the World Series (one of them is vs. 06gsp). If 06gsp wins the 120M W.S. vs justinlee, he clinches. If he loses both W.S., then it opens the door for justinlee to steal the Championship.

technically, 06gsp can win one WS as long as it isn't against me ;)

If I win all 3 WS, I'll get 27 points which means 06gsp could win the other WS as long as I beat him in 6 games or less.

In all seriousness, 06gsp deserves it, but we'll see what happens.

Though I played 3 game sevens, it looks like only 1 of my 4 remaining teams reached the WS.

Either way, I’ve had 5th place clinched for a while, a result I’m very pleased with for my final tourney. Especially considering I finished R1 in 25th place.

Well, justinlee_24 won the first World Series, in the 60M league.

If he ends up winning this championship, he can thank my ineptitude. My team was 83-51, but went 8-20 down the stretch to blow what seemed like an insurmountable division lead. With 4 games left in the season, he was one loss way from being eliminated. He swept my 91-win team to win the division by a single game (knocking my team out of the playoffs), and then proceeded to add 22 playoff points.

The key World Series (in the 120M league) is tied 2-2.

I'm now at 884.5 points and 06gsp is still at 890 points, since jbohrman won in 6 games.

Game 7 of the key WS between me and 06gsp is now for all the marbles - winner of this WS also wins the WISC.

Not sure if the WISC has ever come down to one Game 7 where the winner of the WS automatically wins the WISC.

Third times the charm for Koufax vs. Koufax? In all seriousness, it's been a big surprise that I was able to make this competitive with 06gsp having 6 Round 2 playoff teams. Whatever the outcome, it's been a great tournament for both of us.

I don't recall a previous World Series in round 2 where it was winner wins the Championship. And we get a game #7, no less. Very exciting.

thanks 06gsp...only reason I'm champion is because of incredible playoff performances in both rounds of the WISC. Looked up my Round 1 of the WISC and found out that in total, 7 of my 9 playoff teams made the WS. I didn't think I ever would be able to say that - I was use to my teams flaming out in the playoffs in 5 games in the divisional round after decent regular season performances.

Congrats to both 06gsp and justinlee_24. Going 6-for-6 in making the playoffs in round 2 is quite a feat, only to be possibly topped by winning 3 World Series in round 2. Great job both of you!
