Thanks guys for responding !! however, im still confused... because I add more minutes to a players category i want them to improve on and then the next day they lose those overal points?!

Also, how much time do you recommend setting for your offense and defense as the team practice plan?

Just want to say I finally started to see some individual improvement and understand it a bit better.

On a different note. and for venting purposes lol; If I could start over from the beginning, i'd definitely join a 2 game per day league! Not to b*tch, but my god does it take FOREVER to get through 1 full "season" .... Topping it off, I suck as a beginner lol so my team is done after being knocked out first game of Conf. tourny.. and I wont be able to enjoy next season until friggen July 3-4th !!

Yeahh im definitely considering it ! I come from SLBasketball which is a bit faster pace and so I blame that for my impatience haha

The worst part is the break after the conference tourney. Bet that’s when they lose most first year guys who miss the postseason. I work to stay actively engaged during that time.

Hello Sports Fans and HD Gods. I'm Richie, total newb to HD. Have been a consistent conference champion and playoffs winner in GD and LOVE basketball so my competitive fires were burning and just had to give this a go. I'm a bit stunnder by the differences. HD is Waaaay different scouting/recruiting and gaming process than GD. Its another planet. I'm taking advice from forum posts of CUB, TOPDOGG, and AEJONES plus a hodgepodge of other posts to figure things out as best I can. My Wittenberg team in Ohio held a completed Buckeye Elite Big10 camp but I cannot figure how to review the 50 camp players. I have used FSS for OH, PA, IN, WI, IL so far to match up with the Buckeye camp. I am following posted advice and recruiting to L3. I have 4 opens with $18k scouting. I have about $5000 left after camp/FSS/level 3 bumps. I have questions. I am also seeking a mentor.

1) WHERE IS MY CAMP SCOUTING RESULTS?
2) I MAY LOOK TO DROP 2 FR PLAYERS ON THE ROSTER WITH F WORK ETHIC. WHEN IS BEST TO DROP THEM AND HOW/WHEN WILL THAT SHOW WITHIN MY SCOUTING PLAN
3) HOW MANY INCOMING PLAYERS CAN I REDSHIRT?
4) I AM ALSO SCOUTING SOME SEVERAL D1 INELIGIBLES WITH GOOD RATINGS THAT MAY OFFSET THEIR LOW/F WE RATING. IS THIS A WISE OR LESS THAN BRIGHT STRATEGY TOWARD LANDING A D1 ATHLETE WITH POSSIBLY LESS COMPETITION.
5) I'M THE B- PRESTIGE NEWB - IN GD RECRUITING VISION FOR BETTER RECRUITS IS DEVELOPED BY PROGRAM HISTORY - SO WHILE MY TEAM HAS GOOD SUCCESS OF WINNING BASED UPON PAST SEASONS I'M THINKING THE PRESTIGE OF B- IS AN UPHILL BATTLE.AND THERE IS NO VISION BONUS IN HD.
6) SINCE I STILL HAVE $5000 LEFT FOR SCOUTING AND 30-35 PLAYERS AT LVL 3 - OTHER THAN POSSIBLY REVIEWING THE CAMP RECRUITS FOR LVL 3 - PLEASE SUGGEST HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF THAT REMAINING BUDGET. WHEN I BEGIN THE RECRUITING STAGE I AM PLANNING TO LET THE DUST SETTLE AND KEEP MOST OF MY DRY POWDER FOR THE LATER ROUNDS - BUT ALSO WONDERING IF/WHEN IN THAT PROCESS SHOULD I BEGIN AGGRESSIVELY BUILDING RAPPORT SINCE I OUTWORK MOST OTHER COACHES.
7) LASTLY, IF SOMEONE OUT THERE SEES I MIGHT BE A WORTHY PROTEGE PLEASE RESPOND ASAP. I MADE USE OF 2 GREAT MENTORS IN GD AND GREATLY ENJOY THE COMARADERIE AND FRIENDSHIP THRU THE PROCESS

PS: I found my camp and completed 14 recruits to LVL3. I have about $3800 scouting $$ left.

For all coaches wanting mentors: You should NOT post messages here requesting help and expect to receive any reply. That's not how this works.. The mentors on that list are NOT monitoring this thread. You need to make a small effort and reach out to them via site mail or through HD Discord (link in bottom of right of your team's Office menu). A simple way to site mail, since this thread didn't provide direct links to the mentor's profile, is to click on any name of any user that commented here. Their profile will pop-up. Just go into the URL and change the username with one in the mentor list and then click on "send site mail."
