For what it's worth, here is how I understand this.

In 07/08, Howard took 4 3pts attempt out of 974 shots. That's 0.4 % which belongs to perimeter shooting. If you round this to the closest integer number, it's still 0%.
I don't have the stats (nor do I know how WIS calculates them) for mid-range and paint but, if it's something like 10.3% and 89.3% respectively for example, the sum of the 3 area equals 100% (0.4 + 10.3 + 89.3) but the sum of the rounded values only equals 99 (0 + 10 + 89).

I don't think displaying (0.4, 10.3, 89.3) or (0, 10, 89) changes much the outlook of Howard's offense and this difference wouldn't influence my choice when setting my defensive strategy against that player. From what I understand, this is the only thing these numbers are used for anyway.

So I think it's just a round off issue and it's probably not even a mistake to begin with. I admit it might be misleading or confusing at first sight though.

Once WIS chimes in and agrees with you, then you will be on the WIS side of the issue. As of right now you are only against garyman's inquiry as to whether it can be fixed.

"Just because you think it doesn't matter doesn't mean it doesn't matter.
You both are making a big deal out of nothing and you're getting incredibly defensive the further I try to explain myself. Even if it WASN'T a rounding issue...you're griping about a tenth of a percent...0.001...its not like you're winning or losing games because of this issue and the way garyman initially pitched, he was somehow suggesting that his opponent(s) had some kind of advantage because of this, when quite frankly they don't...it only affects where said player's shots are taken from.

I am making a big deal out of you thinking that Gary's point is irrelevant solely because you said so. I understand the affects of .01 and .001, thank you.

Its irrelevant because I'm giving WIS the benefit of the doubt to begin with that they have this properly accounted for. I understand the affects of .01 and .001, thank you. .001 is incredibly miniscule, especially given the fact that its in regards to where a guy shoots from...its not like his FG% or his DEF rating is wrong. Again, you're being incredibly defensive here, and basically for no reason.

Lol, this just isn't a big deal...a sensible person says ok and moves on. I'm all for arguing the under-arguable, but the inarguable, come on.
