I don't see why anyone would pick anything other than wins or 7+ Ks any large proportion of the time. The good starters in the league can achieve those things 50% of their starts or more. No batter is going to have 2+ hits or a HR every other game... And a great closer on the right team is lucky to get a save 25-30% of the time.
