really? are you comparing rape and child beating to kneeling for the anthem? That's pretty stupid.
I am saying its stupid for millionaires to complain about anything.
And you and Strikeout moan about a potential tax increase for millionaires? Hypocrite much?
Don't lump my name into this. You obviously don't understand personal finance well enough to talk about tax hikes on the rich, so you may want to avoid that subject. Heck, you didn't even realize that in some states, they pay as much as 60% in taxes already.
Way to avoid the obvious hypocrisy.
Please explain. I never said millionaires have nothing to complain about. You just have this envy against the successful. It's pretty screwed up.

Also, I think it is a little funny that the same people who hate PC culture and try to 'troll' the liberal 'snowflakes' get so butthurt over players kneeling. Do you need a safe space? lol.
Butthurt? Its disrespectful. The anthem is a military salute. And don't say it is not because they always come out with color guard and military personnel. Then again you're a pacifist so why do you even care about the military? If you saw two hooligans beating a stray dog you would just yell at them and not intervene. Coward. I don't care what players do btw. If you love America so much, why do you want to eliminate the Electoral College? Lastly, Trump's rating was poor before the election too. It did not matter.

It’s disrespectful to do a lot of non-PC things.

The anthem is not a military salute. It’s an anthem.
Really? Then why do they say "Please stand as we honor those who served and our nations colors?"

Your leftist views are insane
Because the US government pays them to. My son’s little league had a girl come sing the national anthem. No one said anything about the military.
Did you just compare pro sports to little league? Seriously?
Don't forget, B_L lives in the state that hates America and has threatened to secede. The military is honored all the time during youth sports in more patriotic parts of the country.
Don’t forget, strikeout lives in a state that literally did secede because it wanted to continue to own black people.
Impossible to argue with.
Nah, pretty easy to argue with. EVERY person that was involved in that secession is now DEAD.

Your family makes it's money off the government and you ***** about entitlements and freeloaders.
Yep, my Great Grandfather was poor as dirt, but worked his *** off to become successful. A lot of money does come from Medicare/Medicaid, but that money was still earned. Nothing is earned with EBT. That's like comparing a government employee to someone on social welfare. You can't do it. They both receive money from the government. One works for it. One doesn't.

And by the way, courtesy of Mr. Trump, we have had record profits this year. We have built 3 new rehab centers, which means many more jobs. I still don't like the guy, but I would definitely say his policies are working. I see it first hand.

You're going to spin it however you can and I bet under Trump you had record profits...fact is....you rely on government handouts to make your money, there's no way around it.

Since I'm sure dino will red line it in the other thread, does any else find it "funny" that he says he wants a thread with no name-calling, yet calls the leader of this Country something just about every other post? That's far more hypocrisy than any of the other things that were pointed-out in here today.
please show me the last post where Dina called Trump a name.
Why you call him Dina? What'd he do to you? Or was that just a stupid mistake?

Is he incapable of defending himself? Is that why he red lines everything he disagrees with and you try to cover for him here?

Take your head out of his butt and maybe you'll see what other's do:

Lol. I've been thinking the same thing for a while.

I don't know how it's hard to comprehend for a person as smart as yourself. There's nothing wrong receiving money from the government as long as it's earned.
5/26/2018 10:13 PM
I've read how you feel about Social Security...that money is earned but you're against it. You think it's dumb.

You're all about Medicaid and Medicare and paying your family. Low income subsidies. Don't be a hypocrite.

Texas among others, threatened to secede under Obama...are they non-patriotic?

DENVER — It’s traditional for Americans to threaten to move to France or Canada when their candidate loses, but this year some disappointed voters are implementing a different plan.

In the wake of the Nov. 6 election, petitions seeking to secede from the union have been filed on behalf of 23 states on the White House website, https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petitions. Most of the petitions contain the same wording and ask to withdraw “peacefully” from the United States in order to form independent governments.

Critics describe the effort as a bit of an overreaction. “Anyone who wants their state to secede from the union is someone whose brain has already seceded from their body,” said John Andrews, director of the conservative Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University.

Still, the White House may have to take the requests seriously. According to the website, any petition receiving 25,000 online “signatures” on the “We the People” page within 30 days of posting will receive a review by the appropriate executive department and a response from a White House staffer.

As of Monday, the Texas petition had already exceeded the 25,000-signature threshold, and the Louisiana petition was fast approaching the cutoff with more than 18,000 signatures. Most of the petitions were posted online Nov. 10, which means they have until Dec. 10 to qualify for a response.

Yeah, I know, but I just a hatred for CA. It's kind of unfair of me as I have never lived there, but oh well.
Ignorance is what it's called.

Has nothing to do with being "unfair", you don't know dick about what you're talking about.

I'm against SS because the gov't is forcing people into a bad investment plan. Do you not agree that people could have a MUCH better ROI if they invested that same money on their own?
5/26/2018 10:21 PM
Maybe?

I trust big business even less with things than I do the government. There was just a rollback of a regulation that said a financial advisor had to have the investor's best interest involved in a financial transaction. What has big biz ever done to justify your trust?

Over at least a 4 year span, the stock market has always gained. Investment plans are not designed to be a short savings account. Over long periods, the stock market has always made significant gains. I don't know this for a fact, but I would wager that most people receive less in SS than what they contribute.

Not true. There are a ton receiving Social Security Disability. Almost all of them receive much more than what they paid in. Widow benefits are often to individuals who contributed little to nothing to SS. Even for Title II recipients (retirement,) a lot of baby boomers paid lower FICA rates until 1990. Coupled with COLA and longer life expectancies, many will get more out than they put in. I worked for SSA and this is not conjecture.
