as if the defending champ needs any more motivation.

Wow...was just looking at the DIII statistics, W.Connecticut leader in scoring margin and a close #2 in rebounding. That seems a deadly combination to overcome.
W.Connecticut has to be considered the favorite to win this whole thing.

Thanks, but Emory has owned me in the post-season - knocking me out twice. I hope tonight is my night.

Time for Bugs to pick - I thnk I am bored and sipping tequila.
Midwest
Bradneis vs E. Oregon - What a great match-up. Two of the best coaches in Wooden tango. I have been playing barjaz in a few worlds now and have great respect for what he has accomplished in all of the worlds. Ultimately, I think this one could go to OT. In the end, I think the tougher schedule gives Brandeis and l_eustachy the edge.
Anderson vs Dallas - Another great match-up. Don't let Anderson's overall rating deceive you - they have a WO, which makes them look beatable. Ultimately, I think this comes down to wins the battle of the boards, which I believe will be Dallas.
East
Alvernia vs John Hopkins - Both teams had to pull major upsets to get to this point. While John Hopkins has a lot of balance, I think the triple threat at Alvernia will be too much in the end.
Emory vs W. Conn St - Are you kidding me? Emory has knocked out W CT St out of the post season the past two seasons. Emory has two studs, while W CT St has 8 guys who can get in double figures on any given night. I hate picking myself, becuase SIMMY hates that, but what the hell, W CT St pulls away in the end.
South
Old Westbury vs Chicago - Two more of my favorite coaches in this world. Chicago struggled during the non-conference schedule, but pulled it together during conference play, while Old Westbury has been consistant all year (except in the CT). While taz has been a tremendous help to me as a coach (and I hope he wins), I am going to with bspisak in another close one.
Conn vs New York - As I continue to type these games, I do not remember a tourney being this close in talent. Another great matchup of top-notch coaches. In the end, I think Kenneth Keys goes off, propelling Connecticut to the win.
West
Keuka vs Dubuque - Keuka has been on of the top teams, playing one of the most difficult schedules all season long - not to mention they have the National D3 Coach of the Year. In the end, Keuka wins a defensive battle.
Becker vs NCWC - Are you kidding me? A 14 seed made it this far? This is not your momma's 14-seed though - these guys can play. Not too mention, there is not one senior on this team. While Becker will not win it this year, the could win it the next two years. NCWC in a route.
There you have it. A somewhat drunk bug making the picks. Now it is time to go bed the wife!!!!

I don't think we've owned anyone in the postseason, with my tourney record; but I'd say you are probably set for some payback tonight with your DII squad. How in the hell did you get that true soph SG who's already 637, with good skills?

Go Upstate.

I really don't know what to say - I am somewhat shocked that we lost, but at the same time, I am not. I know my team was loaded in regards to overall talent (we were deep), but we really had no go to man. I hadn't game planned all season and then went ahead planned last night. Who knows what would have happened if I it alone. I will back at the drawing board as I lose 5 :(

Good luck to everyone still alive - I think I missed most of my predictions!!!

Chicago vs Conneticut. I thought I had pretty good speed, then I looked at Conneticut's roster for this game. Wow. Check out their first NT game. They shot 90 free throws, yet the other team somehow managed to take the game into double overtime. I think I've got my hands full.

solid looking final 4, I'd say UNCW is my favorite. I've got them tonight, and will need a little bit of good luck from the RNG.

Congrats to NCWC and killbatman on the national title, well done.

yeah, congrats to NCWC and all the usual suspects from the final 4. Should have the updated list up this afternoon.
