The July jobs report is out and it’s a miss.

In July, the U.S. economy added 157,000 jobs while the unemployment rate fell to 3.9%. Expectations were for the economy to add 193,000 jobs with the unemployment rate falling to 3.9%. Wage gains were in-line with expectations, rising only 0.3% over last month, which were more than offset by inflation and tariffs

The Defense Department said Thursday that the Veterans Day military parade ordered up by President Donald Trump won't happen in 2018.

Col. Rob Manning, a Pentagon spokesman, said the military and the White House "have now agreed to explore opportunities in 2019."

The announcement came several hours after The Associated Press reported that the parade would cost about $92 million, according to U.S. officials citing preliminary estimates more than three times the price first suggested by the White House.

Ex-Trump adviser Omarosa Manigualt Newman, whose release of private conversations with the president and those close to him is rattling the White House, might have as many as 200 secret tapes, The New York Times reported.

According to the Times, Omarosa's slow release is right from Trump's playbook, including "truthful hyperbole" to engage people, threats to expose people with the recordings, and claims of damaging information that might be revealed.

The Times reported Trump's aides are now worried they will make appearances on other tapes, of which Omarosa is believed to have as many as 200.

"Believe me," Omarosa told MSNBC — one of Trump's favorite phrases to convey his sincerity — "my tapes are much better than theirs."
