Certainly not torturing...Do you have a ******* clue to what torture really is? For ****'s sake I'm as "liberal" as the next guy but this is a problem that doesn't get solved overnight. No one in their right mind is suggesting they shouldn't have a pathway to LEGAL citizenship, but for many of them the ILLEGAL way is the way that they have chosen. Do you get to keep your kids when you do time on a felony here in the good ole' USA? **** No. And now people who have entered the country ILLEGALLY should be afforded more and allowed to walk in with their kids and be housed together as best as possible under the current circumstances in places that are hardly prisons. None of this is about Trump or Obama or any ******* bullshit politics. Our border has been a SIEVE for YEARS and now, with a MASSIVE influx of ILLEGAL entries and also a MASSIVE influx on those legally seeking asylum you just snap to with the liberal line of "Oh the poor children." Give the kids in Syria a call, or maybe in South America. Let's see what they tell you about "torture." I just don't get it. It's a response to ILLEGAL immigration. And if you entered here illegally when then you're a criminal. Be it a 1st border violation misdemeanor or a 2nd border violation felony. Trump has said in the last hour that he will sign an executive order to assist with keeping families together. Sure, he started his usual rambling politic bullshit, but give the man some credit for doing something in the face of a crisis that is not quite the "Inhuman Tragedy" as so many of my party-line toting liberals would call it, but a crisis nonetheless. These kids have got a roof, they're being fed. And no one is suggesting that they will be permanently separated from their parents. Unless of course their parents are criminals. Get a grip on REALITY when you talk about how these children are being treated. I don't hear many liberals spouting off the same vitriol for the kids throughout the world that are REALLY being tortured and deprived of the most basic human rights such as food, water and shelter. Have a brain. Think for yourself. I just don't understand how ANYONE can relish in the idea of our PRESIDENT failing. I HATE the guy. I think he's an embarrassment with his ******* mouth. But he's done some good things, and I happen to think that fair trade and dealing with a border crisis are two of the things he's handling well and it would MUCH farther appear so to the entire world if the guy would just "DO" and then SHUT THE **** UP.

Crossing illegally is a misdemeanor. You don't go to prison for a misdemeanor. You don't lose your kids for a misdemeanor.

Did you even read the whole thing, because I mentioned the misdemeanor/felony issue. Either way, they are criminals, and they're not losing their kids for a misdemeanor. They're losing their kids when they are felons, which is the way it goes when you're a ******* felon. There's always the option of LEGALLY asking for asylum and LEGALLY trying to get into the US. And if your record is clean and you're legitimately seeking asylum then you have NOTHING to fear and you'll be given a chance to enter our country LEGALLY. There's also the fact that people from nations to the south of Mexico are a large portion of said immigrants. Kinda odd how none of them have applied for asylum in Mexico itself, which is hardly a war-torn country completely overrun by the cartels, at least no more so than here in the good ole' US of A. And do you REALLY think these kids are being put in "cages?" Delusional man. Cantankerously delusional. I have family working on the border in Arizona. I have a VERY informed opinion. And you should really turn off CNN, MSNBC, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, BBC, Breitbart, HuffPost and every other ******* news source you have and the endless rattle of a million other people telling you what to do and do a little actual research other than a google search and scanning ******* Facebook.

It's a moot point now because Trump ended the policy, but it was zero tolerance. Every person caught crossing illegally (even people trying to apply for asylum) had their kids taken away from them regardless of whether or not it was the first time they were caught. You're a clown.

And he ENDED the policy. Which he did NOT enact. And their children were taken pending their immigration disposition. Should we put them all in Trump Towers all together and sing ******* Kumbaya? You think this border issue IS our downfall. I believe it is our DUTY to reform immigration and kick every last illegal out. He DID enact it. This year. It's new.

Their children were taken pending trial. Is the only other option housing them in Trump Tower? Because, if it is, yes, that's better than taking babies and toddlers from parents and putting them in holding facilities.

I stand corrected. I thought the policy was in place before Donny-boy. It wasn't, and you're right. But now he ENDED it. And that's a good thing. I don't care how you or anyone else tries to spin it, forcing babies and kids to be separated from their mothers is emotional and mental child abuse. PERIOD!!! How would you like it or feel if YOUR kids were taken from YOU????

If a single mom shoots someone and his to jail, no dad in the picture, does the kids go to jail with Mom?

No.

Mom is breaking the law by crossing the border illegally. The kids are minors and should not be jailed with adults. Therefore they are separated from their mother just like the above example, until the courts figure it out mom's future. They aren't being tortured, they are provided meals, shelters, television, etc.
