AL South Franchise A (formerly Kansas City): This franchise has had 3 different owners in 4 seasons and could use a steady hand to right the ship. They were 66-96 this past season and last in the division. They obviously had low team results across most categories. They were 11^th in runs scored, 13^th in batting average, 15^th in pitching ERA and last in fielding percentage. On the bright side, they only have 6 players signed for around 40 million next season. However, they have a staggering 16 players awaiting arbitration. So, the options to mold this team however you want are abundant. They will have the 6th pick in the upcoming draft.

AL South Franchise B (formerly San Antonio): This franchise was in the playoff hunt until late in the season and finished 82-80 and 3^rd in the division. They were middle of the road in runs scored and team ERA (8^th in both). They were lower in batting average (12^th) and fielding (13^th). A young team, they only have 3 players signed for next year at only 23 million, but 9 more that need arbitration attention. They will have the 17th pick in the draft.

AL West Franchise (formerly Seoul): This franchise was taken over by a new owner in mid-season after it was abandoned. Despite best efforts, the franchise finished 57-105 and last in the division. The new owner tried to stabilize things by infusing some young talent into the minor league system. However, the major league depth just isn’t/wasn’t there. As a result, they struggled in most major team categories. They were last in runs scored and 14^th in team batting average. However, they were 9^th in fielding percentage. They were 13^th in the AL in team ERA. 6 players return on contracts for only 31 million next season. They have 7 players headed to arbitration. So, some roster flexibility is there to send this franchise in a new direction. They will have the 4th pick in the draft.

NL West Franchise A (formerly Salem): Salem required a replacement owner early on and the new owner guided them to a 92-70 record. It was not enough to earn a wild card spot, but they finished second in the division, just outside of the playoffs. They were strong in most team categories: 5^th in team pitching ERA, 4^th in batting average, 6th in runs and 7th in fielding. There are 7 players signed for 46 million next season, but 10 more headed to arbitration. They have also garnered the 23rd pick in the amateur draft.

NL West Franchise B (formerly Tokyo): This franchise is only 1 season removed from winning 110 games. This franchise has had a steady owner who needed to cut back on their teams. This past season, they posted an 82-80 record while finishing last in a tough division. There is still a strong roster in tact. They were 1^st in the NL in both runs scored and average, while finishing 7^th in team ERA and 6^th in fielding percentage. They have signed 9 players for 46 million next season and 10 more going to arbitration hearings. They will choose 16^th in next season’s player draft.
