Hi all,

You select 1 college or university that is exclusive to you! Everyone on your roster from the same school using their NFL seasons in whatif. First come, first serve on selecting your school. Once a school is picked- they are off the selection board completely. Only 1 Notre Dame, or 1 Michigan, or 1 of any school. 70 mil cap. No clones. We will allow 2 teams per owner in the interest of getting to 24 teams and filling the league.

You only need 1 player from your school to qualify for your OLine, DEF or Special Teams eligiblity (3 total). Your Offense Lineman representative must a Center, Guard or Tackle from your school on a past NFL roster- Not a TE (as they are exclusive from OL in the whatif format).
Example: Florida State: OT Tra Thomas- 2002 Philadelphia Eagles OL.
LB Derrick Brooks- 2002 Tampa Bay Bucs DEF.
PR/KR Deion Sanders- 1997 Dallas Cowboys Special Teams.

***And the player belongs to the school they finished with in their last year of college eligibility. QB Joe Burrow is LSU (Not Ohio St). QB Troy Aikman is UCLA (not Oklahoma).

Full Team Example: University of Georgia- QB Matt Stafford. RB- Rodney Hampton. WR- Reggie Brown. TE- Benjamin Watson.
OL- David Andrews (center- 2016 New England Patriots)
DEF- LB Thomas Davis Sr. (2015 Carolina Panthers DEF)
ST- KR/PR Mecole Hardman (2019 KC Chiefs)

**** The Kicker and Punter may come from any school NOT selected by another owner. This allows more schools to be eligible and also opens up some flexibility with your 70 mil cap ****

We will use pro-football-reference.com as the official source for college and NFL team eligibility wrt individual positions, DEF, OL and ST (for the player from your school). The following link is a great starting point to see a list of schools and links to your schools NFL stats:

When navigating pro reference- Please note that you must have very top toolbar with Football(college) highlighted in order for it to pull any of the subject data. Sometimes you also have to click on college again to reset it each time. In the search tab, Type in and click on your school, Then find the NFL/AFL player link in the middle of the page, then you can go Players Pro Stats as well. The alumni players on your roster do NOT need to be drafted to be eligible. If they made the NFL team after being undrafted AND appear in whatif- they are eligible for your roster. You can also click on "Colleges Index" for a listing of all schools with notable NFL records for each school.

After claiming/posting your school, please follow up when your team is finalized. Then, I can cross-check the team entry. You could also sitemail me your OL and DEF and Special Teams representatives to speed the process without you divulging your team design to everyone.

Yes, that is correct. All QBs, RBs, WRs, TEs, K and P from the same school. It will likely get tough to meet the cap where you will have to make some choices. But this could make for some very fun team constructs.

For OLine and DEF, you just need 1 player on each unit to be from the U (Miami, FL) in your case. And you got some great choices there! Could be any year for your selected player that finished at the U. Just meet the final 70 mil cap.

I assume Special Teams follows the same rules as DEF?

Great point PW. Yes, same rules for Special Teams. I will add to the initial post. Thinking a lot of known PR and KR could be the reps there. Another entertaining element there!

League number 28676. Great start everyone! I went ahead and generated the league. Just entered a dummy team for me to edit later after we get to 6 teams. I'll make my selection post then and edit the roster accordingly.

This is by far the best tool for creating these rosters. Just select a college and you can see every player who played in the NFL from that school.
