Does anyone here play Out of the Park Baseball? Is it any good? I just discovered it and I'm curious.

I like it...good value for what you get from the game. I played Strat O Matic for about 25 years and enjoyed it. Drawback (to me) was paying for all of the different seasons...it winds up costing quite a bit if you want all of them. Last time I looked, the cards were about $60 per season. The computer season without cards were around $30. I never played APBA...it had a large following years ago. Also played Statis Pro sports games back in the 70's.

I have 3 different years of Strat O Matic but no one to play with. I have 4 years of Statis Pro as well. My dad had the 1986 version and I played that to death.

OOTP is great. You can play in almost any way you want, in any era, or any fictional world.

I may have to look into this. Played a lot of Strat-O in college both MLB and NFL. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Im still loving WIS but getting harder to stay interested with fewer players these days, no updates, no SLL and leagues taking longer to fill.

OOTP is the best deal in town. I play way too much. There's a ton of different ways to play. Tournaments, ongoing daily drafts, historical simulations, online leagues....Twitch streams with new content going on constantly.


The new game comes out on March 15th. If anyone ever watches any of the Twitch stuff, I'm on Laptop's and Sporer's streams pretty much daily. Twitch handle is Lordkrystic33
