If I promise a start to a WR then change his position to TE but still start him will that work? Or will the recruit be upset he didn't start at WR?

Shows WE hit at change position. I think Fr start they will be upset, if they have a So start I dont think they will be. Debating a WR to TE swap rn myself.

Side note, inherited a team you ran for a year. The WR to TE convert was pretty decent even tho guess ranks hated him. Racked up 100-200 catches a year. Catch % wasnt the best tho but was still solid.

Have a WR that was #2 in his class but only Avg pot I am considering swapping now. Other Fr and So Wr are both VH and my VH Fr TE is more blocking oriented. The WR only has a So start promise and his WE seems to jump a bit by converting him to TE. His Guess ranking tho drops from a 57 wr to a 40te tho, possession TE still is 53+ tho which is pretty high for a Fr D2 TE. Tough call, but one I would never even consider if I didnt see what the TE you converted at WC rockne could do.

I played years ago and came back but it didn’t back in the day. The WE hit (or increase) is when you change position. They won’t complain if they’re starting.

What I started doing in the Notre Dame box teams I ran, was converting my worst receivers to tight ends, so they had speed that out run pretty much all the linebackers, and be close enough with the defensive backs. If it got that far. you’re right they’re catch ratio was lower, but it was still good enough that they could dominate slow linebackers so what I would do is have two blazing fast tight ends for passing and two blocking tight ends for running place.
