to running a 3-4 4-3 combo D? I won a title with a all 4-3 in Stagg forever ago, but have switched to a 3-4. Wondering if its worth running both?

Thoughts?

Probably not, they kind of both serve the same purpose as a "balanced" defense. 3-4 can even mimic 4-3 by putting a LB on the line.

If you want to choose a second defense a pass D(nickel/dime) or run D(4-4/5-2) would probably be more useful.

Agreed. I run a 4-4 and 3-4 D with my Wayne State team and it works pretty well

I would and do pick one and use the extra points to practice individual.

I use a 3-4 solely because it is so much easier to recruit linebackers over defensive linemen.
