I am a new coach in this world after a long layoff playing in other worlds.

How much do yo consider FIQ/GPA when recruiting? It sounds like a formation IQ of 60 is sold from reading. Recruits in my 180 mile vision seem to have FIQs of 8 to 23. It seems like I should prioritize Potential, WE and Core Attributes and this should be down on the priority list.

Any thoughts or resources to point to?

I gotta confess....I don't even consider it. Maybe I should, but....meh.

I only consider formation iq for QB's. It is very important for them . Lower FI = more interceptions. And yes if I have 2 similar players at same position I may allow form iq to pick that guy. But otherwise , uh uh.

FIQ and GPA are somewhat important for all positions. FIQ will increase more for players with higher GPA, less for players with lower GPA.
