OT: FSU left out....the Jordan Travis..ty! Topic

I'm a Noles fan, but I will admit that I already knew they would kick us out of the playoffs. The CFP showed their true colors after Jordan Travis was injured, they dropped us in the rankings even though we won. I have no doubt that they were hoping and praying that we would lose at least 1 of our 2 remaining games with a backup QB. As we all know this didn't happen, so they had just do it themselves! Are we as good without Travis as we are with him? No! Although we did find a way to win in the face of adversity. Didn't a backup QB win the NC for Alabama in 2018? Did Texas win without Ewers? Did Alabama win without Milroe? They are writing us off on paper before even giving us a chance! The old adage is that offense wins games, defense wins championships! I believe this was 100% a ratings vote, the CFP wanted Bama and Texas and that's the way it was going to be one way or another.
On a second note, if Jordan Travis is believed to be such an impact on our chance at a NCAA championship, then he should be a surefire winner of the Heisman Trophy right? That won't happen either as he won't even be invited to NY!

Sorry for you and your Noles. Pretty sure most saw it coming. FSU is very deserving and Georgia, when healthy, is probably the best team.
The 12 team playoff will get rid of this issue going forward.

It won't get rid of the issue, I can guarantee you that the top-rated schools that get left out of the 12 team playoffs next season will still complain loudly that they got unfairly hosed and deserve to be in there.

It's the nature of the beast.

why they shoulda gone straight to 16 like all the other divisions

when #16 plays at #1 it is usually a pretty good thumping

so #17 will complain they got shafted but i think no one but #17 is gonna lose any sleep over that injustice

FSU was definitely screwed. Bama deserves nothing regardless of the outcome of the playoff.

They felt they had to have an SEC team so Bama got in. Then they felt they couldn't have Bama in without Texas being in. It has always been a beauty contest and defense doesn't help tv ratings. Bye, bye FSU

Just go ahead and name it properly. The BIG10/SEC invitational. It is not a playoff. This is a harbinger of things to come. IMHO

Yeah, at this point the ACC and Big 12 are pretty much in trouble. The schools being added are not going to bolster our efforts at this point against the SEC and BIG10 conglomerate. We have already seen now that if you are not in one of those conferences you may as well forget a NC. At this point I am hoping that Michigan thumps Bama, and Washington wins it all! Washington is the only team in the top 4 without any kind of hoopla or noise surrounding them. Doubts whether Texas and Bama should even be in and then of course the Michigan scandal. Let's go Huskies!!

The committee is supposed to pick the four best teams at the end of the season. FSU clearly wasn't one of those. Georgia still was. They're the fans who ought to be upset.

That's like saying the WIS playoffs should pick the teams rated 1-32 on Next Guess for the playoffs every season. Actual games on the field should matter. At least on WIS you will always win a championship if you don't lose a game now.

You say clearly, but it's clear that it's only the opinion of some people! The problem is that it's not a fact! Name one other undefeated Power 5 Conference Champion that has not made the playoffs? You can't, because it never happened! All the doubters want to say that since Travis isn't playing that we can't win, but Bama won it with Tua in 2018. Ohio St. won it in 2015 with Cardale Jones! Both backups!!! What about Boise St beating Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl? What about when App St. beat Michigan at home in 2007? What's the difference between then and now? Now it's definitely more of a long shot than it is with Travis playing, but history has proven that it can be done. No one has the balls to come out and say that it's because we don't think you won't sell tickets like the other 2 teams! This isn't about who deserves to be there, it's 100% about what money they can generate with the other teams being in the playoffs. I have always enjoyed the college football game way more than the pros because of the tradition and rivalries, playing because they love the game! Unfortunately now between NIL and this screwed up committee my love is waning! Taking away those players right to play for a NC was just wrong! Whether they would have won or lost, they earned the right!!!

Dear Herculoids

We love tradition and rivalries too

Sincerely, PAC-2
