its a Bill James stat that basically measures how much a player is contributing beyond hitting singles.
this is not something i would recommend looking at by itself. certainly guys who get a lot of extra base hits and walk a lot will be good sim players (minus home run only modern players because of home run normalization), but i think you're better off just looking at the individual components that factor into it.
Thank you. I see from contrarian23's post that it stands for secondary average. I know secondary average, I just didn't recognize the abbreviation SecA as referring to it.
