I wonder if a team can make it to 253 in the SIM. Given that some of the older glitches have been removed (like Yao shooting 100% from 3) it may not be, but either way, a real life team beat us at our own game. Up Tempo SIM ain't got nothing on Troy State, and I think that's a shocking statement in and of itself.

Very cool! Thank you for sharing this, I had no idea about this game.... I think in order for it to be possible in the SIM, from what I've seen/read about for this game, you would need to have some kind of new "track meet" defensive setting that always surrenders shots of nearly any percentage betting you can get a baseball pass for a lay-up going the other way.

Amazing--truth IS stranger than fiction.... So I didn't draft enough minutes and instead of constant GM juggling, I decided to tank and try something else.... Despite our best efforts, my Magick Mushrooms couldn't get a team to score more points than that '92 Troy State team.... Jackson Hole came closest and did make it to 253, barely edging out 5 Man Rotation at 252. Congrats to them!

That's an accomplishment. DeVry was helping Troy State get to 253.

Damn. Who's on that squad, and was the other team any good?

I replaced my entire roster with minimum salary guys (or close to it)----they were all at 0% by the 3rd or 4th game, regularly injured, and I lost several games by forfeit when an in-game injury would leave me with less than 5 players. Opposing teams would typically shoot 70-80% with 100+ FT attempts due to all the technicals of my guys getting more than 6 fouls. LOL The two opponents I mentioned finished with wining records, but weren't the best in the league; once teams realized what I was doing, they'd often play rookies 48minutes against me.... Still, the most points I'd ever scored was 16, and once was shutout two consecutive games, 235-0 and 212-0 Not sure everyone in my league was too thrilled with my idea, but it was fun for me!

That is really awesome.

I knew that couldn't have happened in a fair fight, but it did actually happen. This is why we play!

I'm really not sure. I will say that it wasn't unusual for one player to account for the vast majority of fouls, but nothing special about Tree Rollins it seem. For instance, here's the box score of a different game:

But other times, fouls would be pretty evenly distributed. Similarly with steals. Sometimes a random player would get like 11 steals--other times, as above, pretty evenly distributed. If anything I suppose this can teach us that fatigue absolutely does not prevent a player from being credited with a steal. LOL
