Importance of player effectiveness Topic

Is it a big problem to play a rookie PF in the SF position for 10 minutes/game if he is rated at 95% effectiveness for the SF position?  I am in this position because I shorted myself on SF minutes during the draft and relied on getting a rookie who could play SF.  And, unfortuanely, I did not get a 100% SF rookie.  I am assuming this is not worth hitting the waiver wire.  Any input would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Don't hit the waiver wire.  It won't be much of a drop off playing him there.

5% off is not that big of a deal. I played a player who was 10% off 10 minutes/game for the playoffs and his numbers were fine. Beyond 10% though, I wouldn't do it.

I hope that it isnt that big a deal because the way the sim substitution logic works you really dont have any control about who plays where anyway
