Beating a team under 42M cap Topic

There are these two teams I can't seem to beat with any other. Does anyone have any ideas on how to beat these 2 teams? And please don't laugh if you think they're terrible, because I've only been going for about a year.
99-00 Tim Hardaway
99-00 Steve Nash
72-73 Dave Wohl
80-81 Rory Sparrow
89-90 Michael Jordan
97-98 David Benoit
78-79 Steve Sheppard
87-88 Charles Barkley
94-95 Dennis Rodman
68-69 Walt Piatkowski
51-52 Alex Hannum
56-57 Bill Russell
That's the first team. Here's the other:
93-94 Isiah Thomas
99-00 Tim Hardaway
08-09 Jamal Crawford
89-90 Michael Jordan
92-93 Bernard King
75-76 John Johnston
65-66 Happy Hairston
68-69 Walt Piatkowski
51-52 Alex Hannum
65-66 Wilt Chamberlain
77-78 Jim McDaniels
04-05 Mark Madsen
These 2 teams have gotten really annoying, and I can't beat them in a series of 7 games, like the playoffs. Please, help.

more rebounds...neither team is all that strong on the glass

Really? The first team has gotten over 70 boards in a game multiple times.

Here's just one example of this team when I used it in sim-leauge.
Was this what you wanted?

The other team isn't as good at rebounding. In fact, Wilt is basically all they have for rebounds. But when I wanted to renew a team from before the major salary changes, with a starting lineup of Nash, MJ, Rice, Rodman, and Wilt, it's pretty hard to beat.

I just made a team that beat the other two. Do you hall of famers think this is a good team?

you need to look at advanced stats - also if you go back in to edit you can cut/delete the red X/circle thingies and the table will resize

Thanks, felonius. But what part of the advanced stats are extremely important? What kind of stuff is in there that could make or break a team?

5/6/2011 9:05 PM
debatable descending order: efg; ORB/DRB%s, usage (balance), um kind of a toss-up after that - you want to have a certain aggregate as% on the floor or you suffer a penalty - def rating is somewhere in there (although that's not on the advanced page)

here's my current open league team which is doing pretty ok:

But remember, I'm still pretty new to this stuff. What's exactly "good" for this stuff? What is the usage%? The eFG%? Are the 2pt%# and 3pt%# the field goal percentage from those categories? I looked at the team on your profile (they have 42 wins now). How much are youo overplaying those guys though?
5/7/2011 8:44 AM
not much because I got 3 D+ rookies taking up the spare minutes I didnt draft for my bench
5/7/2011 8:49 AM

eFG% is effective field goal %.  Its adjusts you fg% based upon 3 pointers made.  The 2pt%# and 3pt%# is pretty much a useless stat.
