80 Brett at SS Topic

In theory how well/poorly should he do?

I've had 80 Brett at SS for 5 games and he's only made 1 error. 1 out of 5 equals an average of 28 a season. In 1990 Cal Ripkin made only 3 errors in 161 games. So in comparison Brett doesn't look so good. His bat is a major improvement over the stiff hr replaced and he has solidified the batting order

1 in 5 is a pace for 32 in a season...

more importantly, 5 games is not a large enough of a sample to be meaningful...

does he have any "-" plays?  i would expect a fair amount of those for a 3B playing short...

I'm trying Bret Boone 2001 (B+/B+ at 2B, unrated at SS) at short in one league... not good. He has 29 errors in 79 games and a .941 F%, though he doesn't have any - plays.

Brett ended season playing 33 at SS (34 at 3b) games and made 26 errors with 4 "-" plays

He might not do as bad at 2b - or he may do about the same. But his bat made a big difference - The team won the division.
