Starting a theme league where I get to choose 6 players from 4 different years, one of which is 1998. Thinking most of my SP will come from this season.

Going to use Clemens for sure, but then I'm deciding between Kevin Brown, Greg Maddux, or Pedro Martinez.

Anybody ever had success with the 1998 versions of these pitchers?

is salary a factor? If not, I'd rule out PJ because the others have low HR and they can hit.

I have had very good luck with 1998 Maddux and i am in a progressive with Kevin Brown that is approaching 1998. He was my best pitcher in 1996, out dueling both Maddux and Smoltz. I know i would test out the '98 version of Brown.

Also, i agree with rbow923, i would cross off Pedro Martinez. It seems in my experience that unless it is 1997 or 2000, i don't go out of my way to use him.
