How can I get a list of players without the stats from the draft center for any given season.

Batters Salaries/Pitchers Salaries

At the bottom of the link i posted you will see a box that says "Article Number", type in 588. That will bring you to the files for every batter and pitcher in the data base.

You can then download all the players, stats and salaries into Excel. You can sort by years, alphabetically, etc...Then you can just copy and paste the players without all the extra stuff you would get in the draft center. It really makes setting up an available players list much easier.

How the heck do you sort it once its in open office spreadsheet???

click in uppermost most box to select the whole sheet

click on Menu/Data/Sort...



or do you mean OpenOffice, competitor to Microsoft Office?
