How do you think Very Very high + AVG players would fair against Deadball low HR low BB pitchers.I was thinking they would do very well.I figure some one had tried this kind of lineup before.

The highest average guys hit everyone.

I agree, high average, high obp is one of the main things I look for.

Dead ball pitchers give up more triples than modern pitchers as well.

If anyone has the decision tree, I would go through that and use what the deadball pitcher is good at against them. From what I remember, I would go with a high AVG+ and XBH namely 2B since the 3B rate is high in the deadball era.

If I had a team to make, I'd go with Fenway as the home park and max the offense for the park.

I think the deadball guys give up more triples than doubles. I could be wrong but I think pitchers give up XBH based (somehow) on the XBH rate of their year.

i would look up 08 joss's performance history and build a team to highlight his weakness. cuz you know half the teams in OL have him.

keep in mind that while most teams have deadball pitchers not all do and when you run up against a modern arm with low oav and say 2.5BB/9 and a .50HR/9 you are gonna be at a disadvantage. The SIM is rarely all or nothing anymore. Personally i think the sim is the best it has been and I have been around for a long long .time. It has morphed just in the last year. it reminds me of my golf swing... I am constantly tweaking it and when everyone makes deadball pitchers look like AAA guys you will need to adapt yet again to the winning strategy du jour

and oh dont forget the ball park! In a recent post season series I couldnt score against Tannehill in a neg. singles park with a avg+ team.
