Question about $160mil & over leagues Topic

I have never played in a league over $80.My Question is pitching like twice as important @ $160.Or does it not matter as much seeing as there is some much cash.That you can pick the greats hitters of all time??And a pitcher you would use at $80 would be about the same.Or is this where all the $20mil pitchers come into play.

Pitching matters a lot. You need a very strong staff to face a bunch of .370+ hitters. However, at $160M and above, it's easy to build a really good pitching staff. The hard part is figuring out how different kinds of hitters, pitchers, and defense perform, and then putting them together to make a winning team.

160M league, u need the top tier pitchers like maddux, pedro, wj, etc. your pitcher will get shelled against the barrage of babe ruths.

Depends on what your definition of "getting shelled" is. It's possible to to have a team ERA under 5 if those leagues.

WJ frequently gets rocked in these leagues due to HR. Take low HR/9 and low BB guys....Joss/Maddux, etc. Pete Alexander, Ed Walsh. BP has to have Gagne, and of course Kelly Wunsch....ooops, I slipped that one in.
