So, this was my 2nd attempt at getting a useful season out of John Clarkson's 900 IP/162 (1885) season. My first attempt resulted in 98 starts, 859 IP, a WHIP of 1.68, and an ERA of around 5.40.

This attempt resulted in a much better performance from Clarkson, in fact, it is his best performance in his performance history

Both fell well short of my goals of at least 110 starts and 1,000 IP, but at least the 2nd season gave me a winning record (55-40, .578%).

At this point, he's still not worth the $$$ you have to spend on him since you can't use all of his IP, let alone the extra 10%, but at least this shows he can be useful.

I'll try again with that same goal of 110+ starts and 1,000 IP, and maybe even get the team above .500 some time.

I just don't c how clarkson can ever be used in any league and not have money be wasted. And his performance can never be justified by his $/ip.
