I used to try to make the most offensive names I could come up with and try to elicit complaints.

I once made a TOC with a team named "The Peckersnot Express" and had a couple complaints lodged almost immediately. It was a team from an anything goes league. That was one of my more tame names from that period.

so how many periods does that make it now

I can just imagine the complaints some of the team names from the big dick or screw your neighbor leagues would get in the toc. If it wasn't already time for another one of each of those leagues, I'd say that would be reason enough to start them up now.

Yeah, the Big Dick team names were pretty good, creative and sometimes rather tasteless.

I miss those....

I just keep it simple and call all my teams the Ueckers

...and then there was the owner who entered his team in one of my leagues with some kind of weird (not distasteful - just weird) name. When I told him that in this particular league, I stated that I wanted the teams to include the year and the city in the team name, he got upset with me and told me he was out. He said that he ALWAYS let his wife name his teams and that was the name she came up with and I can go to you know where. Haven't seen him in any of my leagues since...

I wanted to name one of my teams The C*nts, just so I could say "I'm going to check out what The C*nts did today"........the wife kinda objected

I once had a guy in one of my leagues (let's call him Owner A) who not only didn't name his team properly, he made it offensive -- I forget the exact name, something to do with malodorous feminine parts. But I wasn't a stickler, and ignored it.

Then as the league was filling another owner (Owner B) sitemailed me to say HE was pulling out if I didn't force Owner A to change his name.

So I asked Owner A, very politely, to change his team name. He told me to fornicate myself. And I thought, "If I could do that, would I be wasting my time on WIS?"

Meanwhile, Owner B is asking me for "updates" on Owner A's team name. I stall and tell him "I'm working on it."

Naturally, I waited until there was a schedule before telling Owner B that Owner A refused to change his name.

It's been said before, but getting a league off the ground is like herding cats.

I think I've specialized in offensive team names...

The Star Spangled Dildo (one of the US vs the world leagues)
Rectal Projectiles
The Origin of the Feces
Rectal Cranial Inversion
Nasty Naked Nympho Nurses (Hey, it was an alliteration league!)
Geriatric Gigilos

And that's just off the top of my head... I don't use swearwords, and I don't quite tell others to f-off, but locker room/sophomoric team names like that always make me smile.

Heck, even two of my progressive league teams (Toronto Trojans and Philly Phalluses) can be offensive if you do them right. I just increase each team name by an inch each year (Toronto Trojans 13" - an inch too far" or "Philly Phalluses 1" - Just a wart")

And we won't even go into big dick or SYN team names....

I named a team recently 'off constantly'. Thats my personal favorite.
