I was thinking of a progressive league where each season a gift card is given by each owner.

The basic idea is:

Your teams worth determines gift card amount each year.

60-70 million 6 dollar card

70-80 million 7 dollar card

80-90 million 8 dollar card and so on

prizes awarded for each playoff team, world series teams, world series winner, maybe a prize pool for teams that finish above .500 with low payroll.

Also a portion of each seasons gift cards to be held until the end of the league with that money going to the franchise that has the highest amount of wins in the league over all years.

What do you think? Could something like this be done here?

Many people (me include) are hesitant to join leagues that require the purchase of GCs as a part of playing.

There are people who will do it but you'd be cutting down on the pool of owners.
