Hypothetically is it possible to leave one pitcher in your rotation, and decide before the next game who you want to throw, or will the same pitcher be forced to pitch the next game?
Hope I'm explaining this right.

the same pitcher will start again. the next starter is locked in as soon as the current game is finished.
